Sichuan Huadian Neijiang Baima 2x475 MW Gas Turbine Innovation and Development Demonstration Project Unit 1 has successfully completed 168 hours of full load trial operation and handed over for production
The Sichuan Huadian Neijiang Baima Gas Turbine Project is the first batch of national gas turbine innovation and development demonstration projects, a key project in Sichuan Province, and also the first gas power generation project in Neijiang. The total investment of the project is 2.14 billion yuan, and it is planned to construct two F-class 475 MW gas steam combined cycle units. Compared with coal-fired units of the same level, it can save 200000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon emissions by 880000 tons per year. Unit 2 will be the first to complete a 168 hour trial operation and officially put into operation for power generation on July 25, 2025.
Unit 1 successfully passed a 168 hour full load trial operation on December 8, 2025, and was officially put into commercial operation. The project has successfully achieved the established goal of "dual investment within the year", adding another "hard core" support for the safe and stable supply of the Sichuan Chongqing power grid.
