Jiangsu's * H-class heavy-duty gas turbine put into operation for power generation in Nantong
On July 20th at 21:16, the heavy-duty gas peak shaving unit with the largest single unit capacity in Jiangsu Province, Unit 2 of the Huaneng Nantong Gas Turbine Project, successfully passed a 168 hour full load trial operation and was officially connected to the grid for power generation.
The Huaneng Nantong Gas Turbine Innovation and Development Demonstration Project and Supplementary Order Project are invested and constructed by Huaneng Nantong Gas Turbine Power Generation Co., Ltd., located in Chongchuan District, Nantong City, Jiangsu Province. It is a key construction project of Jiangsu Province during the 14th Five Year Plan period and the first batch of gas turbine innovation and development demonstration projects of the National Energy Administration. The project plans to construct two H-class 745MW gas steam combined cycle power generation units. After the full completion of the project, the two units are expected to generate approximately 5.2 billion kilowatt hours of electricity annually, with a combined cycle efficiency of over 63%, and can reduce standard coal consumption by approximately 1.37 million tons per year, significantly optimizing the regional energy structure.
The intake system of the second unit's gas turbine in this project is provided by Huaqiang New Energy Company.
