Feicheng 300MW Advanced Compressed Air Energy Storage National Demonstration Power Station

      On May 29th, the "Central Enterprise New Energy Storage Innovation Consortium 2026 Annual Work Conference" was held in Tai'an, Shandong. The technological innovation achievements of Feicheng 300MW advanced compressed air energy storage national demonstration power station have been successfully selected as the top ten achievements of the Central Enterprise New Energy Storage Innovation Consortium in 2025.

       The project is located in Feicheng City, Shandong Province. On April 30, 2024, the international 300MW/1800MWh advanced compressed air energy storage national demonstration power station was successfully connected to the grid for power generation once. This power station is the world's * 300MW advanced compressed air energy storage commercial power station based on salt cavern gas storage. It is constructed by the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences based on the advanced compressed air energy storage technology with independent intellectual property rights. The power station utilizes low valley electricity from the power grid to compress air and store it in underground salt caverns, with a system conversion efficiency of 72.1% and an annual power generation of approximately 600 million kWh. The project design has a lifespan of 40 to 50 years, reducing construction costs by 30% compared to the gas storage tank scheme. After being put into operation, it saves 189000 tons of standard coal annually and reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 490000 tons.

       The intake system, expander exhaust pipe, and muffler of this project are independently developed and provided by Jiangsu Huaqiang New Energy. Based on the technological advantages of gas turbine intake and exhaust system design and development, Huaqiang New Energy has formed a professional team to carry out special research and development according to the design requirements and specifications of compressed air intake systems, ensuring professional and efficient support for the project.
