On January 28th, the 1×489 MW gas turbine innovation and development demonstration project of Jiangyin Gas Turbine Thermoelectric Co., Ltd., which is under the general contracting of Northwest Institute of China Energy Engineering Group, successfully passed the 168-hour trial operation.

       The project adopts Shanghai Electric's gas turbine technology and takes the lead in localizing core components. Located in Zhouzhuang Town, Jiangyin City, Wuxi, Jiangsu Province, it comprises a supplementary project (Unit 3) and a demonstration project (Unit 4). As a national *-batch gas turbine innovation and development demonstration project, it adopts an advanced split-shaft one-to-one mode to construct a 9F-class gas-steam combined cycle power generation unit with a total installed capacity of 489 megawatts. The successful 168-hour continuous stable operation of this demonstration project fully completes the independent innovation demonstration task assigned by the National Energy Administration. Upon commissioning, the project will significantly enhance the local power grid's peak shaving capacity and provide crucial support for regional energy structure optimization and the construction of a new power system.

       The gas turbine inlet system of this project is independently developed and provided by Jiangsu Huaqiang New Energy. Huaqiang New Energy has long been serving the construction of power supporting facilities, continuously innovating in the fields of gas turbine core components and filtration performance assurance, and has contributed significantly to the independent design and manufacturing of China's gas turbine industry.
